Ali's Fic Year in Review: 2009

Time for the yearly wrap up. :)

First, an explanation. I know a lot of people don't consider drabbles to be worth talking about, but I do. I like drabbling, and honestly, I spend a fair amount of time on mine. Often I spend days perfecting drabbles, and I often have a whole back story in my head when I write them, so why shouldn't I include them here, right?
Anyway, for those who don't care for drabbles, stories over 10000 words are denoted with a *.

I'll start with the gen and the more unusual pairings I wrote this year.

So, that was it. I wrote more than this in 2009, but there are several fest that have yet to do reveals.

Total word count: 339300, which breaks down into ~114,800 words of Snarry, ~93,900 words of H/D, 31693 of Neville fic, 15820 words of Drapery, 39750 of Het and the rest are assorted ficlets and drabbles with odd (for me) pairings.

Addicted? Me? I have no idea what you're talking about. ;)

Summary: Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy are just average, ordinary wizards working in dull positions at the Ministry and leading average, ordinary lives. Or, at least, that's what they'd like everyone -- including each other -- to believe.

Author's Notes: Inspired by an irresistible prompt from orpheus_samhain, who requested Draco as a MoM appointed hitman, very sikrit, Minister wouldn't like the public to know that from time to time he orders a murder; Harry is an Unspeakable. Somehow their paths cross during one of Draco's assignments, that so happens to be one of Harry's, only he's expected to achieve the opposite effect. If they know each other outside their work is a bonus. Requested additions: a knife, hood, night, champagne. Orpheus, I hope this is what you imagined.
