Loving Summer

Neville sat back on his heels, surveying his garden with satisfaction. The height of summer wasn’t the busiest time for his landscaping business, so he’d taken a few days of holiday to tend his own home.

Standing, he stretched his back before starting for the cottage. Once inside, Neville poured some lemonade, sighing as the cold liquid refreshed him.

“All done?” Ginny came up behind him and kissed his cheek.

“For today.” Neville smiled. “I’m sweaty, though.”

“I’ll help you get clean.”

“Oh?”

Ginny hummed. “Definitely.” Tugging him towards the shower, she purred, “I love summer.”

Neville laughed. “Me, too.”
