More Than Enough

Severus had never had enough in his life. Not enough nurturing or love from his parents, not enough respect from his peers, and never enough friendship from anyone.

But when Harry Potter entered his life, everything changed. He, too, had been deprived growing up. Abused. But in coming together they managed to find what they had both been lacking all those years.

And when Severus first saw Harry holding their child in his arms, he knew that finally, he’d something to cherish, something that was truly his.

“Happy enough?” Harry whispered.

Heart overflowing, Severus nodded, embracing them both. “More than.”

Lovely. They are both so much alike. Neither one of them had much of a family so finally having that love and companionship and having a child can heal all kinds of hurts.
