Oh my, you almost got me with that prompt (that part which is a quotation about death!), and the way you wrote Harry being exposed to a horde of armed enemies, and then having Severus rush forward in order to shield Harry, throwing himself into harm's way, and you had not yet used the quotation, and - ugh!
Then all is good, no one is dying, and suddenly - bam - there is the Declaration! o_O
