I like this version of Severus, too, just like Kingsley. Both are strong men, independent, yet working together. I like that Severus is being cautious but still can be surprised. :)
Making the Malfoys want to escape Voldemort is anothter interesting twist. I hope they won't regret having to rely on Albus to get them to security, though. But they are Slytherins - I bet they expect the worst of him anyway.
