Authors Notes: Harry puts his plan into action.
This is the final in this set of connected drabbles that began with Sweet Selection (LJ/IJ/DW), and was followed by Luck at the Leaky (LJ/IJ/DW). I believe this will make the most sense if you read those first.

Gringotts Grant

“How’re things with Draco?” Hermione asked weeks later.

Harry’s eyes narrowed. “You were tying to set me up with Draco that day!”

Hermione winked. “Maybe. Someone deserves a love life.” She hesitated. “Are you angry?”

Harry smiled. “No way. It brought me Draco.”

“Good. I’m happy for you.” Hermione exhaled. “So why are we at Gringotts today?”

“Draco’s been showing me how he creates sweets.”

“And?”

“And he wants his own sweet shop. He’s really good!”

“Okay.”

“Will you check our business plan?”

Hermione blinked. “Our?”

Harry smiled. “Yes. I’m quitting the Aurors to join him.”

She sighed. “Show me.”

Draco arrived at Gringotts minutes later. “Granger. Harry.” He frowned. “Why are we here? This isn’t my favourite way to spend my day off.” His eyes glittered with promise as he looked at Harry.

Harry swallowed hard. “This won’t take long. I’m starting a new joint vault.”

Draco nodded. “With Granger? Am I to witness?”

I’m the witness,” Hermione corrected. “You’re the co-signer.”

“I’m what?” Draco’s mouth dropped open. Clasping Harry’s arm, he drew him aside. “Are you mad?”

Harry smiled. “Hermione thinks your sweet shop idea is brilliant. I want to help.”

Draco stared at him. “You are mad.”

Harry froze. He’d been sure Draco would want to partner with him. “You don’t want to work with me? I thought--”

With a growl, Draco grasped his shoulders, shaking him. “I’d be thrilled to work with you! I’m not an idiot. But a Gringotts joint vault is serious. It’s a binding contract. Some married couples don’t even have them.”

Harry started to breathe again. “Is that a yes?”

Draco shook his head. “I despair for you at times, Harry. You trust too easily.”

Harry smiled. “That’s not a no.”

Draco sighed. “No it’s not.” And leaning in, he kissed him.

Hermione coughed. “Honestly, you two,” she hissed after a few moments. “Have you forgotten we’re in Gringotts? The goblins aren’t amused.”

Draco moved back, licking his lips. “Right. Did someone say something about a joint vault?”

Once the parchments were signed, Harry relaxed. “Now let’s create Malfoy’s Morsels.”

Draco smirked. “You’re sure you wouldn’t rather call it Potter’s Patisserie?”

“You could call it Ron’s Relish and I’d still eat there if there’s chocolate,” snapped Hermione. “Now let’s go. The goblins are making me nervous.”

Harry laughed, and, as he left hand-in-hand with Draco he began eagerly anticipating their future together.

Standing at the counter, Ron shook his head. “You’re in business with Malfoy? How’s that working?”

Harry smiled. “Very well.” He glanced over to Draco, who was tending a customer. Ever since their day in Gringotts, Draco’d changed. He was more...open, more loving.

As if he’d felt Harry’s gaze, Draco glanced over at him. Harry shivered at the heat in his eyes.

“You know, I think I can see it,” Ron said, looking back and forth between them. He sighed. “Anyway, I broke up with Lavender. Do you know what Hermione likes here?”

Harry grinned. “I’ve got you covered.”
