Out and About

They emerged from the pub to find a cold, clear night with stars twinkling overhead. Potter, inhaling, looked up and smiled. “What a brilliant night.”

Draco hummed. He certainly couldn’t argue. What had started out as an annoyance had become quite enjoyable. “I’ve endured worse,” he said.

Potter laughed. “Haven’t we all?” he murmured. He clasped Draco’s hand. “Now, I believe they said the coffee shop was this way--”

At Potter’s touch, Draco’s stomach flipped inside out. He somehow managed to nod, and as Potter led him along, he relaxed, eager to see what else the evening had in store.
