Weekly Random Post of Random

  • Here are a few more additions to my ever expanding list of places to visit. 26 places too beautiful to be real. And am I the only one who thinks St Basil's in Russia looks like it's made out of candy? *g*

  • So I dunno about you, but sometimes I miss what people are actually saying on TV, hence subtitles/closed captioning. Here are a few times that technology definitely came in handy.

  • I shouldn't have to mention my love of bookstores, right? Well, in case you were unaware, I love bookstores and I could totally LIVE in this one. *drools*

  • So apparently some people don't understand consent. Here is a simple video that I think very effectively explains it.

  • What if the Wizarding world had access to the internet? Well, here's how that could look. Also, while we're on the topic of my OTF (one rue fandom), here's an interesting fan theory that could explain why the Dursleys were so mean towards Harry. This may be my new headcanon.

  • Do you like Supernatural? If so, you'll probably love this parody. As you can tell, even the stars and crew of the actual show loved it. ;)

  • Like art? Creative sculptures are so creative and gorgeous.

  • Up for reenacting Indiana Jones in real life? If it's like this I totally am.

  • Badass teachers are badass. I wish I'd had these instructors when I went to school.

  • Anyone else like the MCU? How about some genderswitched Avengers? I say yes, please. *g*

  • And finally, you know how they're always talking about stars who later become hotties? Well, here's the Harry Potter version. *g* My fave may be Dobby. ;)

  • Have a fabulous rest of your weekend, everyone! Sadly, it's back to work for me tomorrow. Oh well. :(

Cool sculptures.

The 26 places to visit post is awesome. I've been to Sintra -- it's one of my favorite places ever. Versailles was also quite impressive. The Zhangye Danxia Landform almost looks like a giant sand terrarium. Really cool stuff.

I'm so sorry I missed you guys at MISTI!! I wanted to go to the Snarry Suite, but I was waylaid by exhaustion :-( Next time! ♥

Goodness, you're so sweet. Several times, I told myself, Oh! I have to go to the Snarry Suite, and by the end of the convention, my brain was losing bits and pieces, let's say ;-)

Leviosa it is! ♥

So, I wasted hours yesterday clicking myself through all the links (and through the links I found on those sites). Hours, I tell you! Some very enjoyable hours, though, so thanks for another great collection. *g*

The badass teachers totally remind me of my dad, who used to be a teacher. He's retired now, but he had some stories to tell on how he got his pupils to pay attention, or how to keep them interested. Like building electric guitars in his handicrafts class, for example, instead of bird feeders or spice shelves.

The genderswitched Avengers are mostly not to my liking, though. Only exceptions were Kristen Stewart as Loki and Pine!Widow.

I'm generally not a fan of genderswitching, but in this case I just don't like the selection of actors. Or maybe it's all the photoshopping? Because even though I know most of them, my thoughts while looking at them were like "pretty model face no.1, pretty model face no.2, ...".
