Bumping in the Night

Sirius, wand drawn, crept down the stairs. The Order meeting was over, everyone had left. So what’s that thumping? He smirked. If it’s a burglar they’re in for a shock.

Reaching the landing, he approached the sitting room. The house was dark, and even to Sirius the shadows seemed menacing.

Heart pounding, Sirius threw open the door to the sitting room. “Lumos”!

Remus, who had Snape pressed over a table and was pounding into him from behind, looked up. “Were we too loud?”

Snape smirked.

Sirius dropped his wand. The shock was all his.
