“...so the Moody teaching at Hogwarts was actually Barty Crouch?”

Severus snorted into his ale. “Junior.”

Remus chuckled. “Crouch junior got the drop on Alastair Moody? Whatever happened to constant vigilance?”

Severus sighed. “I can’t criticise. After all, Crouch fooled me, too.” He signalled for another drink.

Reaching for his arm, Remus murmured, “If it’s any consolation, Crouch always was pretty sharp.”

Severus huffed. “It’s no consolation at all.”

“Ah.” Finishing his drink, Remus winked. “Then may I offer you another sort of consolation? My flat’s nearby.”

Severus smirked. Order message delivered, he was ready to be soothed. “Very well.”
