Yielding to Temptation
~
Harry sighed as he watched the Gryffindor Quidditch team practice. While he could appreciate the wisdom of not allowing any of the eighth years to play, it still rankled. Although Ginny is a brilliant captain.
Intellectually he knew the decision was right. The temptation to dominate the team would have been too great. He pouted. Still not fair.
Harry blinked upon spotting a glint of something in the trees. Leaning forward, he frowned. Only one person had hair that colour.
Draco. Now what’s he up to? Slipping out of the stands, Harry circled the pitch, determined to investigate, game forgotten.
~
In the distance, Harry heard the players and the spectators screaming, but after slipping into the trees, the sounds, along with the world, faded.
Hearing someone moving through the trees, Harry followed, coming upon a clearing. “Draco?”
“I wasn’t sure I could tempt you away from Quidditch.” Draco, posed provocatively on a blanket, smiled. “You looked quite engrossed.”
Harry smiled. “So you decided to skulk about, looking suspicious?”
“Nothing else seems to get your attention.”
Laughing, Harry stretched out beside him. “You have it now. How are you going to keep it?”
Straddling him, Draco smirked. “Oh, I’ve my methods.”
