hd_erised fic posted a while back, and while I know it's a fandom convention that people rec their own gifts, seriously, even if this wasn't mine I'd totally be reccing it, it is that fabulous.
In the Company of a Rubber Duck is brilliantly inventive and hilarious and I LOVED it. Draco is on probation and has to serve community service - by becoming various household items for other wizards. Guess whose home he ends up in? *g* And before you run away, trust me. The author took a frankly cracky and ridiculous premise and somehow crafted a comic masterpiece with real emotion. That takes real talent. There are a few people in fandom who I know are capable of writing at this level and if this is a new person to me then I'll be adding yet another to my must-be-stalked list. *g*
Anyway, if you like Harry and Draco at all, and you want to read Draco being his snarky best, do go and check this out. And, for all the Severus fans on my Flist, he make an utterly perfect appearance in this fic that will leave you rolling.
