I can just *bet* that Severus is motivated by trying to protect Harry, and habit, and only lastly by wanting to be alone. Well done Harry :) and I suspect that Severus will realise at some point that if you've done all these things *before* last night then perhaps it is... genuine? really real? Something like that.
