Another of the fests I participated in, [livejournal.com profile] hoggywartyxmas, has posted their reveals, and so I can now admit to the story I wrote for them, and once again point to my FABULOUS gift.

I wrote Hiring Defence Against the Dark Arts Teachers and Other Unforgivable Acts for the incredible [livejournal.com profile] sigune, and I was bowled over by the wonderful reception it got. ♥

In addition, the amazing [livejournal.com profile] gingertart50 wrote a fabulous fic for me. A Term of Endearment It's...awesome, and I have already recced it, so if you haven't yet read it you have no excuse. The whole thing is wonderful and it even ends with Snarry! <3

I'll be reposting my fic in a few, but before that I wanted to talk about the fest. Because I have ~thoughts.

Although this was my first year participating in Hoggywarty. It's in its 7th year (how had I not heard of it before?) and I have to say, it was a fabulous experience. It took me back a few years to the days when participants in fests considered it their duty to comment on all the submissions. The comment counts for this fest blew me away, as did the quality of the comments and the quality of the submissions, which were stellar. Everyone clearly brought their A game to this fest!
Now, this is NOT intended as criticism of other fests. It was just really nice to have everyone participating and supporting each other.
It was a truly lovely experience, and it felt like the fest was a community effort, like we all had a stake in how well everyone else did (if that makes sense).

Also, I must say a special thank you to [livejournal.com profile] kellychambliss, who is the person whose rec I followed last year to find the com.

And of course, a major thank you to [livejournal.com profile] therealsnape, who was welcoming and patient and encouraging. <3

Anyway, this is all to say I'd encourage anyone to participate in this fest, it was a blast. :)
