2013 Beholder recs, week 3

*shakes head* This fest just continues to get better and better.
The Vultures of Love 13,000 words, PG-13, Irma Pince/Argus Filch, Minerva/Severus
This is a complex and fascinating story featuring two unlikely couples that somehow made sense as written here. And may I just say, Filch steals the show. He's delightful, understanding, and the perfect match for the prickly Irma. And the Minerva/Severus relationship works quite well, too, which is saying something coming from a confirmed Snarry shipper like me. ;)
Overall a meaty, delightful story.
Sunlight in the Garden 4300, R, Pomona Sprout/Alice Longbottom
What a masterpiece this is. It was beautifully bittersweet, depicting a playful Alice and a warm, wise and wonderful Pomona. The explanation of the Longbottom marriage, the way Pomona watches Neville grow into a hero, and the bittersweet ending (more sweet than bitter, tbh) makes this a treat. Go and enjoy!
