Lucky

“This is brilliant,” Neville sighed. “I can’t believe we’re on holiday in a tropical paradise.”
Bill smiled at Neville. “Yeah, I was pretty chuffed when I won that contest.”
“You’re so lucky. I’ve never won anything,” Neville said.
Grabbing Neville’s hand, Bill whispered, “I don’t know about that. You won my heart.”
Neville blushed. “And you won mine long ago,” he murmured back.
“I’d say we’re both lucky, then,” Bill said. Sitting up, he pulled Neville with him. “Wanna skinny-dip?”
As they frolicked, Bill resolved never to tell Neville he’d rigged the contest. Some things were better as a mystery.
