London Day 2

alisanneToday I did the tourist thing.
- Woke up at 3:45 local time and COULD NOT GO BACK TO SLEEP. Ugh, thank you, brain.
- Managed to write a couple of drabbles, which was something.
- Internet connectivity issues *eyeroll*
- Breakfast in hotel was nummy.
- Took the "Big Bus Tour" to refresh my memory about where things are.
- Went to the Tower of London again. I really like the Crown of India or whatever it's called. Think they'd give it to me if I admire it enough?
- Got back to hotel in time to take Mummy out for dinner (as she likes to remind me, she is NOT a tourist, so no silly London tours for her, TYVM). *g*
- Chinese food for dinner, yum! We ordered way too much for the 4 of us who went, though. Still, yummy food...
- Did birthday gift exchange with Mummy back at hotel. Of course I cried. And she cried. It's what we do. *sniffs happily*
- Got back to room and found I finally had consistently working internet, so I've been trying to catch up on replying to comments. No telling if I'll ever catch up on other people's posts, though, so if there's something I should see, poke me and I'll get to it. Eventually.
- Tomorrow? Harrods! *g*
- Oh, and UK meetup peeps? I swung by Covent Garden and am now even more confused than ever. I'll post soon (as soon as LJ cooperates) so we can make a final decision.
And that's it for now. My bed is calling and I'm really hoping I can sleep for more than 5 hours this time. *sigh*
