London Day 6 aka UK fangirl meet

So of course it was a rainy, overcast day in London (I know you're all shocked).

- I slept in and still made it to Covent Garden with about 30 mins to spare. After wandering about I finally asked the geniuses in the Apple store for directions. Of course they came through. *g*
- Got to the restaurant and hovered around outside until eriador117 and Mr eriador117 arrived. We decided to go in, only to have one of the staff tell us that they didn't open until 12:30 (our meet was set for 12). Since the sign on their door said noon, we did not believe him, but we exited nonetheless.
- We were then joined by centaury_squill and Mr centaury_squill at which point it apparently occurred to the waiter that maybe it wasn't a good idea to turn away customers, so he told us we could have a seat inside as long as we were aware that we couldn't eat until noon.
- We were good with that, so we had a seat and waited for everyone else.
- nursedarry and oncelikeshari were next and there was much squeeing and hugging.
- We had yummy drinks and then struggled for prolly 30 mins with the menu. You wouldn't have thought it would be so difficult but wow...
- Just after our food arrived, so did shiv5468, who'd been at a class.
- We chatted about fandom of course, and naturally Snarry got unanimously hailed as the bestest ship. I admit, that may just be my personal recollection, the others' memories may vary. ;)
- Unfortunately, nursedarry had to leave early to rescue Mr Darry from their children's party (that woman has some awesome timing let me tell you) and so we all left after to go to a local pub. I've already forgotten the name, although I do remember it was very appropriate for Slytherins. The Green Serpent? Anyone remember?
- We stayed there for a few hours talking about cons and where fandom is going. It was a cozy place, although, as oncelikeshari correctly said, the downstairs setup was weird. WHo wants to drink next to the toilets?
- I had to leave about 5 to get back to the hotel and it took FOREVER but I finally made it. :)
- And before anyone asks, no, we didn't take pictures. *head desk*


Today we're wandering about Westminster, so time for me to run! *waves*
