London Day 7/Trip Home
May. 1st, 2012 06:02 pmIt occurs to me that I never did post about my last day in London. Now that I've caught up on sleep, it's time.
- Slept in, which was lovely.
- Had dim sum for lunch (have I mentioned how much I adore dim sum?).
- Left Mummy sunning herself in the atrium of our hotel and we went to Westminister Cathedral for vespers.
- They have a FABULOUS choir, all male, and they were positively ethereal.
- Returned in time for dinner (more Italian).
- Said goodbye to Mummy, who went home Sunday night.
- Packed
- Was up at 5:30 am to get to Heathrow by 8:30 but at least Paddington Station wasn't crowded the way it was the day we arrived.
- The airport was a bit confusing since they didn't post the departure gate information until about 10 minutes before departure. Also? Helpful airline personnel were...helpful. /sarcasm
- The plane ride was better though, if only because of the working AC.
- DFW was....hot. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised since it's in Texas, which has the exact opposite weather of London (hot and sunny).
- I was home by 6 pm or so and, after checking in online, I collapsed and slept for 10 hours.
So I am hopelessly behind in just about everything to do with fandom. If I have missed anything you think I need to see, do drop me a note here, K? :)
