Assorted Rambling....

So life has been a bit mad lately, but I have been trying to keep up. Here are a few notables I thought I'd mention from my latest Flist scan.

- hd_smoochfest is posting and it's making me very happy. It's one of my most favorite H/D fests and it features happy, smoochy stories. What's not to love, right? Although, don't think it's just fluff, there's some flangst in there, too. I've been terrible at keeping up, mainly because many of the stories are over 20K, but the stories I've managed to read (which have all been on the shorter side) have been fabulous. The fest is a time investment, but one I think will be worth it once I can manage it. :)

- hprarefest is also posting and I have been thrilled with the variety of the pairings. As many of you know, I have a not-so-closet love for rarepairs, and this fest features many old favorites as well as new to me pairings. Overall the stories haven't been as long as in Smoochfest, but the participants are clearly quite invested and are having a ton of fun (and, speaking as a watcher, we are, too!). :) I may have some recs soon.

- Snape_Potter, purveyor of all things Snarry, has a new fall fest coming that features prolly what is my very favorite fandom trope: First Times. *g*
When I first started in Smallville fandom (I read Clex of course) I read my way through the SSA (Smallville Slash Archive) and my chosen sorting criteria was first times, so at least I've remained true to myself, right?
Anyway, you've prolly seen the banners everywhere, but just in case you haven't, here's another look. :)

And can I tell you how hard I'll be hoping for Snarry first kisses, shags, declarations of...affection *g* and everything in between? *happy sigh*
