“Severus!” Remus smiled when Severus walked in. “Teddy was worried you wouldn’t make it.”
“Indeed.” Severus coughed. “I’ve been thinking. Perhaps you and Teddy should take this foray into the great outdoors by yourselves.”
Remus frowned. “Why? He really wants to go camping with both of us, and I do, too.” He smiled. “After all, what will I have to do once Teddy falls asleep?”
Severus flushed. “We can’t do anything...intimate with him there!”
“Why not?” Remus purred. “We do things here, after all.”
“Impossible.”
Remus sighed. Clearly he was going to have to appeal to a higher authority.

Severus had just settled by the fire with Potions Weekly when he sensed someone staring. Looking up, he spotted Teddy. Unnerved, he set aside his journal. “What’s wrong?” Severus asked, tone soft.
Without hesitation, Teddy shuffled across the room and proceeded to climb into Severus’ lap. Severus’ arms automatically settled around him. “Do you hate me?”
“What? No!” Severus’ denial was instinctive and he felt Teddy relax. “Why would you think that?”
“You don’t want to go camping.”
Severus sighed. “It’s not you, it’s the...great outdoors. I am not a nature lover.”
Teddy cuddled closer. “Please?”
Mentally, Severus groaned.

“That was very underhanded,” Severus huffed as he helped Remus unpack the tent.
Remus smiled. “If it’s any consolation, it was all Teddy. As soon as I told him you were considering not coming, he decided to...persuade you.”
Severus’ eyes widened. “That little Slytherin.”
Remus closed his eyes. “Merlin help me. I’m surrounded by Slytherins.”
Severus smirked. “It’s your own fault.”
Remus laughed. “Yes, I suppose so.” Crossing the tent, he pulled Severus close. “If it’s any consolation, I’ve thought of the prefect thing to reward you for braving the great outdoors with us.”
“Indeed?”
Remus nuzzled him. “Definitely.”

Teddy spent the day running about the great outdoors, managing to fall into the campsite’s stream and do all manner of messy, muddy things. By that evening he was exhausted and very dirty.
Shaking his head, Remus gathered Teddy up in his arms. “I’ll be right back,” he said.
Moments later he returned, naked. “So,” he murmured, settling beside Severus. “What shall we do now?”
Severus smirked. “Perhaps we could fall into the stream? It certainly seemed to entertain Teddy.”
Laughing out loud, Remus pulled him close. “Oh, I’ve a much better way to get you wet.”
And he did.
