Timely Confession

“I almost attended Beauxbatons.”

Harry turned to stare at Draco. “What?”

Draco shrugged. “Mother’s idea. She hoped I’d pick up European manners and a European wife.”

Harry smiled. “The Sorting Hat almost put me in Slytherin.”

It was Draco’s turn to stare. “That...might not have been good.”

“I know.” Harry smiled, clasping his hand. “I’d say things worked out exactly as they were supposed to, wouldn’t you?”

Draco exhaled. “Very true. And now that the confessions are over, shall we?”

Harry’s fingers tightened on Draco’s, and as they started down the aisle towards the waiting priestess, he whispered, “Absolutely.”
