adafrog as part of my 8th LJ-Versary celebration. She requested a continuation of last week's drabbles and this is it! :)

Authors Notes: Harry's luck holds out. This is a continuation of last week's drabble set, Sweet Selection, and will make the most sense if read after that one.

Luck at the Leaky

The Leaky Cauldron was practically empty when they arrived. Without his apron, Draco looked more like the debonaire man Harry remembered. Except for the haunted expression in his eyes.
“I’ll get drinks if you’ll get a table,” Harry said.
Draco nodded.
Harry brought two pints to the table, setting one in front of Draco.
“Thanks,” Draco said. “So what’s this about, anyway?”
Harry smiled. “I just wanted to talk. I was surprised to see you selling chocolate.”
Draco shrugged. “I needed a job and I like chocolate.”
“Makes sense.” Harry nodded. “And I like chocolate, too.”
Draco hummed. “Who doesn’t?”

Things were awkward at first, until Harry asked about sweets, then Draco got animated. Harry grinned. “You know, I can see you owning a sweet shop. You could call it Malfoy’s Morsels.”
Draco smiled. “Clever. Mind if I use that someday?”
Harry laughed. “Feel free.”
“So what are you doing these days?” Draco asked, sipping his drink.
“Auror training.”
“Do you like it?”
Harry shrugged, staring into his mug.
“It’s not that hard a question,” Draco said. “And Leaky Cauldron drinks don’t show the future.”
Harry chuckled. “True. The thing is, I dunno.”
“Right.” Draco coughed. “We need more drinks.”

“We should’ve gone somewhere else to drink,” Harry said, returning with the second round.
Draco raised an eyebrow. “You don’t like the Leaky Cauldron?”
Harry shrugged. “It’s all right, but the food’s not the best.”
“Are you asking me out to dinner, Harry?” Draco murmured.
Even though he felt himself blushing, Harry nodded. “Is that all right?”
Draco paused. “Why not?” he finally replied, leaning back in his chair. “So is this a date?”
Harry smiled. “Maybe.”
Draco smirked. “Fine. Although next time you’ll have to spring for somewhere better than the Leaky Cauldron.”
Harry laughed. “I can handle that.”
