Snorting, Severus tossed the Prophet aside, grabbing a German wizarding newspaper. Harry, seated across from him, frowned. “Why so interested in worldwide news?”
“I’m not,” Severus said, still reading. “But it’s best to know what’s happening in wizarding politics.”
“Ah.” Harry smiled. “Even in Germany?”
“Indeed. Blood purist conservatives are gaining a foothold in their Ministry.” Severus tossed aside that newspaper, picking up an Austrian one. “That’s how Voldemort started in Albania.”
Harry blinked. “Wow. I’m glad you’re keeping an eye on things, then.” Leaning across the table, he squeezed Severus’ fingers. “Constant vigilance, hm?”
Severus nodded, squeezing back. “Always.”
