Heart and Soul

Despite the screaming crowd, Harry easily located the Snitch in the trees. There!
Quick as thought, he chased it, grinning in exhilaration upon quickly outpacing the opposing Seeker. His fingers closed over the Snitch; he held it aloft, eyes automatically locating a familiar figure in the stands.
Severus sometimes attended Harry’s matches, and it’d become a game for Harry to find him. Severus often seemed surprised that Harry knew exactly where he was.
Smirking, Harry drifted to the ground. When will he realise I'll always know where he is? he thought, approaching Severus. He's my heart and soul, after all.
~
“You won again.”
“Naturally. I always win when you're here.” Harry smiled. “You’re my good luck charm.”
Severus snorted. “On my soul, that’s the first time I've been anyone's good luck charm.”
“Good thing I’m not just anyone, then, hm?” Leaning close, Harry whispered, “And I won our private game, too.”
“Indeed.” Severus smirked. “Which means you decide what we do...later.”
“Mmm.” Heart speeding up, Harry kissed the corner of Severus’ mouth. “I’ve several ideas.”
“I’m sure.” Severus stepped back. “Your...manager’s here.”
Harry turned to see Hermione approaching. “Yeah, I've press interviews. See you later.”
“Indeed you shall.”
~
The interviews went well and afterwards, as Harry prepared to go home, Hermione was watching him carefully.
“What’s wrong?” Harry asked, slipping on his robes.
“You love Snape heart and soul, don't you?”
Harry blinked. “You know I do. Why?”
She shook her head. “I thought you were mad at first, but when I see the way he looks at you--” She sighed. “Well, I’m almost jealous.”
Reaching out, Harry hugged her. “Don’t worry, you'll find your own prince eventually.”
She snorted. “Not hanging about with Quidditch players, I won’t.”
Harry pursed his lips, thoughts racing. “Only time will tell.”
~
After riding Severus, Harry collapsed onto his chest with a sigh.
Severus caressed his back. “It wasn’t all that bad, was it?”
Harry chuckled, kissing Severus’ chest. “It was brilliant and you know it.”
Severus hummed. “Why the heartfelt sigh, then?”
“Hermione said tonight how obvious it is that we’re each other’s heart and soul, and that she wishes she had that.”
“You’d best not be suggesting a threesome,” Severus deadpanned.
Harry laughed. “No! Git. No, I was thinking that surely there’s someone we could find for her.”
Severus pursed his lips. “I’m no matchmaker, but perhaps there is someone...”
~
Victorious, Harry approached Severus. Beside him stood Blaise Zabini. Harry’s steps faltered.
“Spectacular game, Potter,” said Blaise. “You play with heart and soul.”
“Thanks.”
“Blaise is interested in investing in your team,” Severus said. “Perhaps someone could give him a tour? Your manager perhaps?”
“Harry--” Seeing Blaise, Hermione blinked.
“Granger.” Blaise smiled. “Would you show me around?”
“Sure.” Hermione gestured, leading him away.
“Zabini?” Harry hissed once alone with Severus.
Severus shrugged. “He’s unattached.” He nodded towards the retreating couple. “Plus, Granger seems intrigued.”
Hermione was gazing at Blaise speculatively. Harry sighed. “At least it’s not Malfoy.”
Severus chuckled. “Indeed.”
