Dream Come True

It’s like a dream come true, thought Kingsley, surveying Hogwarts’ grounds. In the time after the war, when the devastation had been fresh, he hadn’t known if they’d be able to save much of the original structure. And yet we managed. Somehow.
Many things would never be the same, of course. The forest was still regrowing, and Ravenclaw Tower would always sway.
A small hand slipped into his and Kingsley smiled down at Sarah. “Yes, baby?”
“Do I get to come here one day, Daddy?”
Bending down, Kingsley picked her up, nuzzling her hair. “Yes, baby. Yes you actually do.”
