“...our new Defence professor, Remus Lupin,” Dumbledore announced.
Severus stiffened as Lupin entered, making it a point to glare at him.
“I trust you’ll be polite, Severus?” Dumbledore whispered as Lupin chatted with the other professors.
Severus huffed. “Indeed.”
Dinner was quiet with both men sitting far from each other. Severus left early. When, later, someone knocked at his door, Severus was waiting.
“Hello,” murmured Lupin as he slipped inside Severus’ rooms.
“Finally!” Severus hummed. “Were you seen? Does anyone suspect?”
“No,” Lupin said.
Severus smirked. “Good.” And, releasing his self-control, he embraced Lupin. “Shall we?”
Lupin kissed him. “Definitely.”
