Yay for Saturday!

[personal profile] celandineb and her SO just left my house after coming to visit and see a traveling exhibit that made a stop here at the local medical school, and even though the Harry Potter's World: Renaissance Science, Magic and Medicine was small, it was still fun.

The most interesting part was that there were other HP geeks there who had come from Cel's city to see it, too, LOL. I even had a lovely chat with one about how hot Neville has become. ;)
It did take us a while to get into the building where they were hosting the exhibit, but once we made it in we were fine. The poor librarian was very apologetic that it wasn't bigger, although we reassured him we knew what to expect. :)

I took pictures so you can see:

Cool, no?

While we were there I bought a new stethoscope and discovered I can refurbish my old one (the tubing is getting a bit stiff), and I even picked up some adorable plush toy microbes. *giggles*

When we got back to my place we had salmon for lunch and watched Red 2 (we watched Red the first time Cel was here and since then, she picked up a copy for herself, thus her SO had seen it as well).

They just left to go home and hug their puppies, and I am now catching up on Olympics. *g*

Now all I need is to wake up my muse so I can write something. ;)

I remember that exhibit from when it was at the HPEF con, Azkatraz. It was quite interesting,
