Jul. 13th, 2014 04:31 pm- Let's start with something inspiring, shall we? Apple's Pride Video made me smile.
- There's apparently a discussion about changing the term "climate change" to something that people will more easily understand. I support this. *nods* Sometimes things need clear names. :)
- If you're traveling, you may want to take heed of this new TSA rule. Oi.
- Have the homeless become invisible? Maybe so. I admit, this vid made me tear up.
- I loved Cosmos. Ever since they talked about the Multiverse concept I've been fascinated. Here's a Ted Talk I really enjoyed that helps explain it.
- Speaking of Cosmos, many of you know that I am a huge Neil deGrasse Tyson fan. Here's just another reason why.
- And here's what happens when you take Neil's advice. This girl is no slouch either. *g*
- And lastly, here are 50 cities to see before you die.

Silly people. I really think they're doing their best to have people not fly.

Date: 2014-07-14 11:57 am (UTC)Yep, I support this name change too. The Yale Center has my vote.
I heard about that new TSA stuff. They really are determined to make everything harder all the time, aren't they? Though I usually fly with charged items too, if I have a back-up phone with me when crossing borders, it may end up being important that I remember this.
Re. the homeless video, that is an excellent campaign. Definitely. Though I'm not surprised their test people didn't see their relatives. If we're not looking for someone, we don't see them. They KNEW their relatives couldn't be homeless, so of course they didn't see that it was them. I mean, I can pass people I know in the street and not notice - and that's without them wearing any make-up ;) So I call (obvious) manipulation. For a good cause, though.
Ack, I don't have time for the universe talk now :( Will have to return to it, but I want to post this comment *G*
Neil deGrasse Tyson speaks truth :)
And such cool kids! Awesome!
Oh those cities... I want to gooooo! I've already been to 12 of them, and a couple are on the "soon to visit" list - and almost all on the wishlist ;)

Date: 2014-07-16 08:47 pm (UTC)LMAO! I vote that they change the names of other things, too, when needed. ;)
*nods* Yes, yes they are. *shakes fist*
Oh yes, it was total manipulation, but, as you say, for a great cause.
OMG, the universe talk is AWESOME. I wish there was a way to prove it was true.
Neil is the man!
OMG, me, tooooo! All the travel, like you say. Even the pink water (as long as it doesn't touch me). ;)
