Weekly fic wrap up
Jun. 4th, 2007 12:18 pmIt's been a crazy week, hasn't it? It could have been the end of fandom as we know it last week, but we all rallied and we seem to be doing okay for the moment, so yay. *heaves huge sigh of relief*
Because I "locked" my LJ, I've been paying attention the ratings of the fics that I write. Lately most have been PG (I guess that's my catch all category), but I do write some R and NC-17 depending on my mood. Anyway, be aware that any R and NC-17 fics linked in my wrap up posts are locked.
That said, on with the show!
Not So Lost HP/DM
Spark HP/DM
Dead To Me HP/DM
Dangerous SS/HP
Sporting Life HP/DM
Skirting the Issue SS/RL
Victim of Circumstance BZ (gen)
Not Like Most Men HP/DM
Flavours HP/DM
Where There's Steam HP/RW
Unlikely SS (gen)
Moving Pains HP/DM
Benediction SS/HP
Running the Gauntlet BZ/HG (het!)
And, because seeing what I've written naturally leads me to think about what I have yet to write...
1.
pimp_my_3some fic. I hope everyone's been reading the pimping posts! They're hilarious. *g*
2.
daily_deviant Farewell FQF fic.
3. Neville FQF fic.
4. BD fics! Meep there are a lot of June BDs.
5. This week's drabbles.
6. Hex Files challenge.
7.
hd_fluff current challenge.
8. Various and sundry WsIP that must be finished before 7/21.
I have been terribly neglectful of the words of the day lately. I think I'll blame the LJ kerfluffle and leave it at that. Heh.
Let's catch up, shall we?
chortle \CHOR-tl\, transitive and intransitive verb:
1. To utter, or express with, a snorting, exultant laugh or chuckle.
2. A snorting, exultant laugh or chuckle.
celandineb does this a lot. *g*
disconsolate \dis-KON-suh-lut\, adjective:
1. Being beyond consolation; deeply dejected and dispirited; hopelessly sad; filled with grief; as, "a bereaved and disconsolate parent."
2. Inspiring dejection; saddening; cheerless; as, "the disconsolate darkness of the winter nights."
This was us last week when
pornish_pixies was suspended.
omnipresent \om-nuh-PREZ-uhnt\, adjective:
Present in all places at the same time; ubiquitous.
Like the LJ spies? *shifty eyes*
biddable \BID-uh-buhl\, adjective:
1. Easily led or commanded; obedient.
2. Capable of being bid.
Hmm, I've met plenty of people like this on line...
discomfit \dis-KUHM-fit; dis-kuhm-FIT\, transitive verb:
1. To make uneasy or perplexed, or to put into a state of embarrassment; to disconcert; to upset.
2. To thwart; to frustrate the plans of.
3. (Archaic). To defeat in battle.
perfunctory \pur-FUNGK-tuh-ree\, adjective:
1. Done merely to carry out a duty; performed mechanically or routinely.
2. Lacking interest, care, or enthusiasm; indifferent.
Thank goodness writing isn't this for me. :) As long as I'm still having fun it's all good. *g*
And, because I can, here's one last plug for the
