Second Chance

Draco followed the waiter to Potter’s table.
“Thanks for coming,” he said as Draco sat.
“You saved my life,” Draco said, shrugging.
“And your mother protected mine,” Potter replied.
Draco relaxed. Apparently this wasn’t to be a contentious meeting. “True. So why am I here?”
“Can we start over?” Potter asked.
“Why?”
“All those months handling your... wand made me think.”
Draco blinked. Was Potter... flirting? He smiled. “Oh?”
Potter nodded. “Yeah. Made me hope we could be friends.”
Draco leaned forward. “Just friends?”
Potter blushed. “Maybe more.”
Draco smiled. Perhaps he would get his own chance at Potter’s wand.
