Over at the Hex Files we write 100 word drabbles for people's birthdays, and today is my friend, C Dumbledore's day. He doesn't have a LJ or IJ so he won't see this, but I figured he deserved to have his name in sparklies, anyway, so

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I wrote him a drabble of course, and it's up at Hex, but here it is for those who would like to read it here on IJ. “What’re you so wrapped up in?”

“Research,” Harry said, looking up.

Draco peered over his shoulder. “‘Hocus Pocus’? What’s that?”

“A Muggle book. It’s a gift for Hermione and Ron’s son so he’ll understand Muggle misconceptions about magic.”

Draco frowned. “Any other gift choices?”

Nodding, Harry accessed more sites on the computer. Eventually, Draco stopped him.

“What about that book?” he asked, pointing.

“Hammerhead sharks?” Harry shrugged. “I suppose...”

“Great!” Draco enthused. “You give him the boring book and I’ll give him the fun one. Uncle Draco wins again!”

Harry shook his head. Draco would never lose that competitive edge.

Daww. Too cute. Of course Draco would want to be the cool uncle. It's only right. And besides, it'd really grate on Ron's nerves if his son seemed more enthusiastic about Draco than about Harry. :D

If I had it in my power I would so send them over after I was through with them, but alas, I don't. The best I can do is a guy dressed up as a gorilla singing Happy birthday. ;)
And I agree about the coolness factor. I mean Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy? Hello!
