Day 10
In your own space, share your love for a trope, cliché, kink, motif, or theme. (Or a few!) Tell us what makes it work for you, and why it appeals to you so much. Let's see. By now I suspect most of my Flist is aware of my bulletproof kinks. But I suppose it can't hurt to go over a few of them one more time. ;)

First times
*happy sigh* There's just something about seeing a couple navigate that first time doing something together, whether it's first date, first kiss, first shag, first time pulling out the shackles, etc. that does it for me. I love all manner of first times, too. Awkward, messy, romantic, a bit rough around the edges, angry, I don't care, it all works. Although of course, fluff-lover that I am, I do have a tender spot for romantic, floofy first times. ;)

UST/Pining
Yeah, there's just something about mutual pining and sexual tension that does it for me. *bites fist* Again, not that I don't enjoy seeing the payoff, but there's something about the tension leading up to the moment the dam breaks and it's all in the open and out there that is ~delicious. UNF.

Semi-Public/Outdoor Sex
*fans self* Hoo baby, love it. The thrill of possibly being discovered, that delicious illicit sensation of seeing your OTP doing the nasty someplace they really shouldn't... Yeah, I love it.

Snark/Banter
So remember how I spoke about my love for sassy!Harry? I like them ~all to be sassy, TBH. *g* Give me dry Minerva, snarky Lucius, witty Narcissa, hell, even characters I don't like I'd prolly read if they were being snarky. ;) And when you make my favorite characters full off sass? OMG, I'm yours. Snarky!Severus, dry!Draco, sassy!Harry...yes, please! And banter. Give me ALL the banter.

And I'd best stop there because, well, I need to go write fic now. ;)

Oh I couldn't agree more re: everything. First times, UST, semi-public sex, and banter — why can't we just have a machine that scans our brains and writes fanfiction for us?

Snarky!Severus is my favourite, given that we rarely get to see him push back in canon.

OMG, can you IMAGINE how awesome that would be if someone created that machine?

*nods* This is true. Although Severus does have the occasional snarky line here and there in canon. :)
