Lively Lover

~

Mystery wrapped amidst swirling shadow,
Patience honed from years of spy craft,
He seduced with humor, made you laugh
Is it any surprise you’re now his beau?
Those who tease you about your glow,
Or wonder if you succumbed to witchcraft
Are scarcely prepared to hear it’s his shaft,
That makes you see all colours of the rainbow.

Turns out he’s sprightly for an older man
He keeps up with you, no reliance on potions
He watches and waits and pounces, his plan
Coming to fruition with no strain to his attention span
He can love you all night, prove his devotion.
He’s your mate, with whom you’ll spend your lifespan.
