Summer time, summer time, summer time!




1. What plans did you have for this summer?

Since it can get to 109 F around here, I planned to stay indoors as much as possible!
I will also be going to a friend's destination wedding in San Francisco in early August, and then I'll be going to LeakyCon in Dallas AND Potterversecon the following weekend. *bounces*

2. Have you accomplished them or is it still a work in progress?

Staying indoors - yes!
The multi-city trip is yet to come. :)

3. What would make this summer much better for you?

Cooler temperatures.

4. When did you go back to school from summer break when you were a kid?

Late August usually.

5. Is anyone else as shocked as I am that July and most of the summer is nearly over?

OMG, yes. Although I am ready for it to be cooler (can you sense a theme?). :P

Cooler - oh yes, please. We are coming off a eight day 100+ streak. SF sounds lovely and cool at the moment. Inland, not so much.

Like you, there are fun plans for August, but it seems like once they are over, so is summer. And how I am hoping for a long mild Autumn.

Ugh. We've had our share ot 100+ days, too, alas.

I'm more worried about the hat this summer as our outside feral mum just gave birth. She's now in my guest bathroom until we get back to the lower 90's again.

I hope you have a great time in The City. Do you have any plans about what to do or see?

Come about the end of September and life in the Central Valley improves greatly.

We have no concrete plans yet.
We both like sciency things, so maybe we'll go visit some museums. As long as there are places to sit i should be fine. :)

Kitty may like it indoors and refuse to leave. ;)

The Exploratorium is pretty fun and there's the California Academy of Sciences. The Cable Car museum is fun and I like the Japanese Tea garden located next to the DeYoung at Golden Gate park.

Kitty might not have a choice. I am hoping I just found a home for her. I have five of my own, on top of Mum and her minions, plus another five outside. We are full up.

You are trying to sound tough but I suspect you're a soft touch. ;)

I will acquiesce to being a soft touch when it comes to cats, but I can't handle another six inside cats. We live in a two bedroom apartment and we are literally wall-to-wall now.

We're just fostering these guys, although we did agree to keep the little family in out of the heat. Vacation is starting to look better and better.

God, it's been record-breakingly hot this week. It's 36C today in London, and humid. And this is in a city with no air conditioning :((((((((((

it's hot enough often enough that they're going to have to bite the bullet eventually.
