- Every November, these parents try to convince their kids their toys come to life. So fun and clever.
- I was going to try to avoid mentioning Trump this week, but this is too funny not to include. After all, he is the very model of a very stable genius.
- This is what happens when Americans try to label the European countries on maps. Of course, they're not much better when the tables are turned. *g*
- The huskiest adorable things to happen in the history of huskies. :)
- Funny tweets by and/or about women. Hahahahaha!
- And so now black people can't eat at IHOP without being accused of stealing? *shakes head*
- This chef creates desserts that look like anything but. So cool! Although I'd prolly think twice before eating the cigarettes and ashtray cake. :P
- OMG, I just found a new adorable creature to love. Indian rainbow squirrels! Eeeee!
- These cake disasters are sad but kinda hilarious, too.
- And finally, one of the best explanations I've seen for why white people shouldn't use the n-word. I have gotten tired of having this argument in RL. I think I'll just direct everyone to this article. :)

They are foul words (especially that one!) that I don't even like in my head, little lone crossing my lips! I can't stand hearing them and completely lose respect for ANYONE who would use one so casually. I just don't understand...
Cake, in any form, is a beautiful thing. Now I want cake...

Bookmarking this explanation about the n-word. It still baffles me that some people need a lengthy explanation in order not to use a slur, but here we are... It's definitely tiresome to have to explain to someone how to show basic respect. It makes me think of a black woman I know; she decided to unburden herself with pedagogy and she has this rule of not spending more than 300 seconds on talking about racism to a racist person. She's working as a professional coach for women of colour (not as a sports coach, she coaches them on how to deal with racism in the workplace). Redirecting her energy to helping her peers. Her work is really brilliant. (It's <a="https://twitter.com/nkaliworks">over there, in French, in case you're curious)
Oh, and these cakes looking like something else! Some of them really would discourage me of eating them (like the ashtray one or the rotten orange). The sponge cake made me smile :D

*sigh* I'm right there with you on the n word. Just by way of explanation, I'm an African Caribbean woman whose spouse is English Canadian. I never use that word because I don't like it and don't want to claim it. So when I curse, it never 'just slips out'. My spouse curses when playing video games but no matter how irate, it never slips out of his mouth either BECAUSE IT"S NOT IN HIS VOCABULARY! That is the bottom line. If it's not something you say when you're with your friends or whatever, it's not something that's going to slip out in times of stress, you know? I think the article was right when it says it drives white people crazy to have there be something they can't claim. :/
Those cakes that don't look like cares are amazing, but yeah...some of them it would be difficult to eat, just because of appearance. :P
