Sorry I haven't been around. Between work, this whole Kavanaugh business, and my game, I've been distracted.



1. Do you have the urge to do a Fall/Spring cleaning as soon as the weather turns?

Not really. I periodically get the urge to get rid of crap, but I don't think it's seasonal. It has more to do with if I get fed up with how the house looks, or if I happen to see an episode of "Hoarders". *shudders*

2.What tells you that the season (a certain smell, a certain taste, that sort of thing) has changed?

LOL, it used to be the plethora of pumpkin flavored crap that shows up everywhere, but that's been happening earlier and earlier in the year, so that's no longer seasonal... Really it's the temperature change and not having to run the AC 24/7.

3.What do you look forward to the most with the change of seasons?

The cooler temperatures are always nice. Being able to wear darker colors (although black is appropriate year round, IMO).

4. What is something that you probably should accomplish but won’t this season?

Hah. Cleaning out the useless crap?

5. What is the most enjoyable part of the oncoming season for you?

Hallowe'en! Thanksgiving! Christmas! Basically... holidays. :) And while I complained about pumpkin stuff earlier, I do love holiday flavors. Pumpkin, ginger, all spice... Mmm. <3

Black is always good. I've been rocking the Gothic beach bunny vibe this year and loving it. I may be the only one, but I had fun this summer.

I dunno how goth I am these days (I used to LIVE in black) but it's definitely a staple in my wardrobe. :)

Ugh, the Kavanaugh things. Brings back all that Anita Hill horror. I walked around in a haze of rage back then, and it's just as bad this time. Worse, maybe, because at least then the effing president wasn't sending out ignorant, offensive tweets.

LOL about "Hoarders" -- I swear, every time I see an episode I throw out at least a bag of stuff.

I love pumpkin-spice stuff. And ginger. Peppermint. But it's true, now we see it so early that there's no "seasonal" left.

OMG, I was on a break between medical school and residency, and I watched the entire thing on TV and remember being just enraged. Although, and this may be weird, but the fact they were both black made it better? It took race out of the equation at least. :/

Dude, 'Hoarders' is like my guilty watch. Although I do get itchy whenever I see an episode. *shudders*

Except for eggnog. The H loves it, and is always bummed it's never offered the rest of the year. We're both off sugar now, though, so this year should be interesting. :)

I'm really looking forward to the cooler weather but that's still another month away at least. *heavy sigh*

I don't mind pumpkin soup but pumpkin isn't really a taste of the holidays for me -- not part of our tradition at all.

Although I don't anticipate my clothing choices changing much. :P

I am sooooo glad not to have to deal with the heat/humidity anymore, but it suddenly got SO cold here. :O The upside of living in a tiny apartment is that I don't collect that much but the downside is where do we put all the fans?! We have little to no closet space and with the heat wave this summer we got even more fans so... well, maybe they can be winter coat racks?

Sometimes I wish the holidays were spread out just a liiittle bit more because it all seems over so soon! As soon as we get the tree, it feels like it's almost time to take it down again. But yay holidays, regardless!

LOL, now that you mention it, the holidays are a bit clustered together... I think it's because we need more to celebrate in winter when it's cold and dark?

Well, when you put it that way, the whole season's full of holidays! Oddly, I never think about fall lasting until Christmas, but it really does. (Well, in terms of weather. Here, at least.)

I actually feel slightly weirder about wearing colors like maroon and brown in the summer--black is classic and always good. IMHO.

Ugh, Kavenaugh, This whole thing has given me a permanent headache, I think. Not as bas as Anita Hill's though, I'm sure. M.

Oh, I dunno. The new developments in the Kavanaugh thing (I should start calling it the FORD thing since she's the credible one here) makes me despair that we learned anything since Anita Hill. :((

Lol, "cleaning out the useless crap" seems to ALWAYS be on my to-do list. Lucky for me, kinda, Mother Nature decided she was done with my procrastination and flash flooded my basement a few months ago - I have a lot less crap of any variety now, haha.
