Sheepish Update

Hey, all! *waves*

So yeah, I've been MIA for *checks* OMG, 4 months! Eeep.

I honestly didn't plan that, but there have been a few life hiccups and, well, I haven't been feeling especially fannish recently. *ducks head*

BUT, at the request of the always right Princess Tory AKA torino10154, I am posting to let everyone know I'm fine.
No, I didn't wash away in the recent flooding that occurred in my area, and while the main reason for my absence is honestly an uptick in work, some minor heath stuff did contribute (nothing cancer related, thank goodness), as did the aforementioned lack of fandom feels.

I'm still lurking online, although I'm terribly behind on my Flist, so if there's something you think I need to know, the best thing to do is PM me, although, TBH, I'm not great at checking that either. I promise to try to do better. <3

One result of my long absence, however, is I do have a bunch of links to share. Some of them may be old, but hey, so am I, so... :P
And thus, without further ado:

• So this is a bit dark, but here's what happened when an anti-vaxxer asked the internet for advice on how to treat her child's measles. Tip: don't eat or drink anything while reading. *g*
  
  
• Librarians are awesome (as I'm sure you all agree). Here's why this time. *g*
  
  
• I think I ~intellectually knew this, but it's nitce to have confirmation. Everything really is Samuel L Jackson's fault.
  
  
• Also, Bill Nye finally lays out the case for our climate crisis unmistakably. (He actually said this on a recent episode of John Oliver's show.)
  
  
• While we're on politics (Imma try to limit my comments on our dumpster fire of a government since if I start I won't be able to stop and this post will devolve into a primal screaming rant *exhales*), here's a legit comment I saw about abortion. Proceed with caution, all male legislators.
  
  
• Right, on to more cheerful topics. I'm a huge Lindsey Stirling fan, and one of her latest, Endgame of Thrones, marries the Avengers: Endgame music with the theme for GoT. Magical. ;)
  
  
• And because any random list needs at least one quiz, try This One. Keep in mind, however, what's logical to one person may not be to another. ;)
  
  
• Oh! So I stumbled across this video and this is pretty much the way I reacted when I first encountered Jinger. Anyway, watch that vid, then watch this professional voice coach react. Heh.
  
  
• Need a smile? Watch this puppy play Jenga with his human. Eee!
  
  
• Want to treat yourself? Try these Harry Potter themed macarons. YUM!
  
  
• Speaking of food, you know how all the burger places have vegetable burger alternatives? Well I must give Arby's credit, they've come up with a megetable made of turkey. NGL, I'd totally eat it.
  
  
• And just because it made me laugh...Be careful how and when you discover your Patronus. This could happen *giggles* Yes, I'm 12. :P
  
  
• These two guys are amazing. I'm pretty sure i couldn't do what they do when I was 30, so...Anyway, just watch. *shakes head*
  
  
• Right, time for another adorable animal break. This time it's owls. Eeee!
  
  
• Ever find yourself drooling over food commercials? Be careful. All may not be as it seems. Meep!
  
  
• Amazing knife cuts are amazing! Wow. And his talents are not limited to knives alone.
  
  
• And finally, I'll leave you with this sobering thought. *g*

Oh! And I almost forgot. I'm going to Misti! I hope to see a bunch of you there, and who knows? Maybe being surrounded by happy HP fen will rekindle my fandom feels. *crosses fingers*

Whew, I have been waffling about trying to get in touch to check on you, and worrying that it would be too stalker-like :)

I just got some "fairy hair" (glitter extensions) and am learning to put them into people's hair. It looks like just 10 pieces really add some subtle sparkle, without being too obvious. If you are going to have a Snarry Suite at MISTI, I would totally bring this along, and do it for free for anyone while hanging out. With the caveat that I just bought this and so am not super good at doing it yet --- practiced a bit on my husband last night.

Oooh, that sounds lovely! We tried for a suite, but they were all taken by the time we tried to book (like the very day the rooms became available, I was ~suspicious~). We still plan to host people in our room to spread the Snarry love, though. ;)
