Weekly fic wrap up and some pimpage

Okay, so I've decided to do my weekly fic wrap up post a bit earlier than normal. Why? Well, tomorrow is the dreaded Monday AND it's a Monday after a long weekend, thus I anticipate having absolutely NO time to post during the day tomorrow. I'll be lucky to get bathroom breaks.
Anyway, it's a short list this week, I'm afraid. You know what that means, though, right? it means I am all about the fest fics at the moment, which is why there haven't been any ficlets. The big one is still hanging over my head, but at least it's started and I have about 3500 words of it down, so that's respectable. :)
But, I ramble. Here's what you came for!

1. snarry_swap due Dec 16th. It's started! *dances* And, as I said before I've about 3500 words done, so that's something. Now all I need is for the Snarry muse to stick around for longer than an hour at a time. *eyeroll*
2. My luciusfqf Lumione fic due in December sometime.
3. My seekret project. ;) DONE!
3. The Hex Files secret Santa exchange. DONE!
3. My drabbles/ficlets for this year's adventdrabbles. I'll say more about that in a bit. ;)
4. My standard weekly drabbles/ficlets for snape100, snarry100, snupin100, hd100, dracoharry100 and slythindor100.
5. hp_valensmut fic.
6. Leftover WsIP from my finish_a_thon list.


And, because I wanted to include some pimpage in this post, I would like to encourage people to sign up for a community and to read and review at another.

beren_writes had the brilliant idea last year to start a community on live journal called Adventdrabbles, and I had a great time playing. But, ever since LJ lost its mind, I've been trying, whenever possible, to post mostly on IJ. I contacted her about mirroring the community here on IJ and she agreed that it would be fun, only she couldn't do it, so... I am now moderating the Insane Journal version of adventdrabbles! It is a Multifandom journal for people to write drabbles or do drawbles during the season of advent. Ideally, people will be able to do 24 drabbles or ficlets and post one a day, but there are no hard and fast rules. The plan is that we write or draw and post something between Dec 1st and the 24th and have fun. So, if you're interested, do come and join us. *g*

Also, I've noticed that not a lot of people have been reviewing at daily_deviant lately. Have you forgotten us? *sniffs* There have been some really stellar fic and art posted recently, so if you're looking for some fun reading, do stop by. *encourages*

And don't forget to read at the fests! The hd_inspired's Mpreg fest is still going as is snarry_holidays, and harry_holidays is about to start posting. Get ready! :)

Yes, that's my house. I paid an electrician to do that since I think if I'd tried I'd have burn the place down. The snowdrift effect is what I was going for! *glee*

Nor do I. I think it's cyclical. They stay because their friends are staying, and their friends are staying because they are staying. Hell, even I haven't had the guts to pull up stakes completely over there. Wish I did, but I know I'd lose a lot of people. Booooooooo. :(

Usually I dislike Christmas lights, since they are distasteful waste of energy. But Lýsa admits that this actually looks very pretty. The snow effect is very well done. Still a waste of energy, but at least it is decorative and stylish. :)

As for the advent... have you no guts people? *grins* I am as usual doing a major Christmas project. Why am I so stupid? Tiny, sweet drabbles would be so much better... It is a great idea, and please let us get more comms over here, and even goad people into using them. And eventually comment, dammit! Sometimes it feels as if we're here alone.

But then again, LJ hasn't fucked up in what...3 months? So it is safe now, isn't it? *makes a very obscene gesture*

As for LJ... I think what I meant was that they hadn't fucked up enough to make fandom go kablooey. I still don't understand why LJ didn't explode when they released those news.

But then again they didn't strikeout any pr0n this time. Not that they suck less.

Hehe... I have sodding written over 50,000 words of fics for Christmas exchanges already, and before December is over I am clocking 100K, I think. (I'm aiming to reach a 500,000 total word count before New Year. A girl's gotta have a goal.) Maybe I should try the drabbles anyway. I love drabbles.

The pieces I wrote for Adventdrabbles last year is one of my fave things I've ever done. I cracked myself UP writing them, and it gave me a chance to play with some lesser known characters. Of course, since I now have D_D to do that with it's not as necessary. ;)
I already have a strategy planned for this year, I just have to work them in between finishing my fests. *eyeroll*

And I, too, am shocked that LJ hasn't managed some fuckuppery recently. You think they're waiting until closer to the holidays when they think we'll be distracted? *sigh*

Oh god, yes... I forgot about that. But then again, there has been Thanksgiving and Hallow'een, but maybe they are saving things for Christmas.

It will come sooner or later, although the new boss seems to be more strategic about this.

OMG your house is absolutely gorgeous! Icicle lights tend to bug me because most folks never use enough and thy just look half done. But yours really look like snow.

And I agree with you wholeheartedly about d_d. There are nowhere near as many reviews as there used to be. There are way more kinky people in this fandom than that.

We have our tree up. I have not decorated it yet because the kitten is still learning the tree is not for climbing. lol
