6. And Hermione nags and schemes to get Harry to ask Snape or Draco out.
5. While Pansy does the same to Draco.
4. Ginny is evil, insane and/or sad.
3. It has a happy ending.
2. It's short, unless it's a fest fic on a deadline.

And the number one way you know you're reading an Alisanne fic is...

1. It's HOT BUTTERED FLUFF, baybee!

Why are your fest fics longer? Not sure at which point to stop? I have the opposite problem. Oh and I like that Snape and Harry talk about trying to get Draco to join them, it's so hot.

That is the question of the year, my dear. I honestly don't know why. This year it was my intention to write shorter fest fics, especially since I participated in more than my usual number, but many of them went longer than the 5 to 8K that I planned. Generally it's that the plot can't be written (by me!) in anything less than 10 to 15K no matter how I try. *sigh* Oh well. ;)

And yes, I do keep coming back to my OT3. *g*
