Once Neville arrived at the battle, it was over. The Death Eaters fought, but none could face his fury.
Afterwards, Neville frantically searched for his lover. Finally, he heard moaning and, crawling the last few yards through rubble, found him.
“Bill!” Neville cradled Bill’s head lovingly while the other Aurors sent for Healers. “You okay?”
“Got hit by an Obliviate,” someone muttered.
Bill gazed at Neville, no recognition in his eyes.
Neville blanched. They hadn’t been lovers very long. Were they over before they’d truly begun?
“Gorgeous,” Bill murmured, his eyes ranging Neville’s face.
Neville smiled. They would be fine.
