“This is ridiculous.”
Harry smiled, brushing lint off Severus’ dress robes. “You deserve to be lionized,” he said. “It’s about time people acknowledged your sacrifices.”
“I’d rather receive something practical,” Severus muttered. “Money, perhaps. Or something to eat.”
“I’ve something you can eat,” Harry purred.
“Brat.” Severus smirked. “That’s hardly practical here. Do you want to scandalize everyone?”
“They know about us.”
“Knowing and seeing are two different things.” Severus steered Harry towards the dais.
“I thought you didn’t want the award.”
“What I want is to get this over with so I can collect my real reward from you.”
