Snarry Ruminations
Apr. 24th, 2008 04:14 pmSo as you all know I've been posting daily reflections on the state of the Snarry, brought on by the
snarry_games that are currently being played.
As I wait for the nextfix fic, I'm again wondering why this year seems so different, and I think I finally have an answer. The teams, for once, aren't divided by type of fic but by a totally arbitrary name. I have no preconceptions about dragon and phoenixes, except that they're, well, warm? LOL. When it was Angst vs Romance and Wartime vs Postwar, I could pick a side pretty clearly. I love my feel-good fics, my happy endings, my hot buttered fluff if you will, and it was clear that Team Romance, and more than likely Team Postwar, would deliver those for me. But I'm finding I like all the fics from both teams this year, so that element for me is gone, although you must admit phoenixes are pretty awesome. ;)
I haven't encountered any really angsty fics in the fest this year yet, and it may be that if/when one is posted I'll be turned off from my Snarry obsession, but I really don't think so. Either way, I'm willing to take that chance, there just needs to be MORE SNARRY. *refreshes Games page*
Anyway, that's about as thinky as I can be right now. I think I'll go re read
dementordelta's fic while I wait for the next one to go up. *glee*
Oh, and in case I have been unclear, I am recommending that you go read at the
snarry_games and vote for Team Phoenix cuz we're awesome. *g*
