Time for another set of Ali mini reviews on the [insanejournal.com profile] snarry_games fics.

1. Faynia Not a Lost Cause" Word Count: ~5, 575; Summary: Magic has no power over the human heart. - Merlin

I love the Snarry dynamic Faynia portrays here. Snape is ever the protector, and Harry is the deliberate brat, even though they are now colleagues working together on a mystery. *g* The surprise visit by a famous figure at the end was enchanting as well.

2. Iulia Linnea "Amidst the Doxies" Word Count: ~6900; Warnings; Summary: Adelaide Alderton, an accomplished lady of leisure, now retired and in hiding deceased, makes (discreet) mention in her memoirs of two "celebrated" war heroes.

Absolutely hilarious! I adored Adelaide's 'voice' here. Both sly and admiring, the narrator paints a great picture, and the plot that she weaved through the narrative was truly fantastic yet quite plausible. Read this when you need a chuckle.

3. Jin Fenghuang "Fridays at Half Seven" Word Count: ~12,000; Warnings; Summary: Five years after the war and all is not well. The dream Harry had of a family, a happily ever after, was just that: a dream. Ginny has left him and his friends are caught up in building their own lives. With nothing more interesting than the latest Quidditch scandal to report on the media has turned to stalking Harry, documenting his slow descent into infamy. If only there were a way for him to escape their unwanted attention..

Jin is one of those people who piss me off, mainly because she's fun, she's a talented artist and, as she's proven here, a talented writer. *tamps down jealousy* Anyway, I love her Harry here, he's so, well, pathetic yet endearing, and a bit off as you'll see. He has to be off, why else would be sneaking off to clubs disguised as... well, you'll see. *g* Although it all works out in the end. Yay Snarry. ;) Definitely an entertaining read, and the sex was hot.

4. Leela Cat "Imaginis" Word Count: ~ 51,300; Summary: When children are threatened, Severus Snape does the right thing for once and finds himself saddled with suspended Auror, Harry Potter. Some people can't help but be themselves, while others appear to be someone else. And, in the middle of it all, a meddling portrait finds unexpected freedom and hope for the future.

I ADORED this story. It was long, yes, but it was so engrossing, with lots of lovely twists and turns, some interesting villains, and yummy Snarry UST. *g* Also? Portrait!Regulus was awesome! A definite must read.

5. Nenyaenywhistle "Some Notes Exchanged" Word Count: ~ 4, 800; Summary: Sometimes all you need for something to start are some little notes.

I read this story at work and it gave me such a smile! Very sweet and understated, I loved the subtle development of the relationship, the way Severus came to notice and then miss Harry when he wasn't there. I also liked this Ginny (what is happening to me?). Lovely, gentle Snarry.

And that's it for today's [insanejournal.com profile] snarry_games comments. I'll have more soon! In the meantime, do go and read for yourself. ;)
