Phoenix Pimping: 4
May. 19th, 2008 10:48 amTime for more Team Phoenix Pimpage!
Fyi, it's prolly non worksafe pimpage under the cut.

And now that you've seen all the possibilities, here's another set of my Team Phoenix mini summaries!
1. Unbroken Halo "Revealing Truth" Word Count: ~15,000; Warnings; Summary: “The search for truth is more precious than its possession.” By Albert Einstein
In which a bit of a clueless!Harry managed to stumble his way into Snape via some very vivid and erotic dreams. I love the atmosphere of this story, and while it may feel dark, it's not at all. Lovely!
2. Venivincere "A Superior Choice" Word Count: ~5,413; Summary: "Tabula rasa," Harry says again, because it's the only thing he can think of with Snape's nose so close to his face, pushing everything else to the edge of his vision. He's tipped his head up slightly and can smell the institutional powdered soap on Snape's neck, the spicy, musky damp of his collar. Something boils through Harry's anger in a billowy roll, leaving him with a startling amount of desperation bubbling on top of it and a sudden awareness that he'd never been closer to Snape in his life. "Potter. My tabula will never be rasa."
Here, a more mature Harry, who now has a post war perspective, tries to save Snape, who (naturally) doesn't make it easy. Several fics have been focusing on Snape's 'trial' after the war, and I think this is one of the more practical ones. The subtle ending is heartwarming and sweet (and you all know how I love that!).
3. Yura Slash "The Upper Air Burst into Life" Word Count: ~15,700; Warnings; Summary: Harry can forgive Severus, but can Severus forgive himself?
Snape needs help and Harry is there to give it, after some persuasion. I must admit that one of my favorite bits is when they overhear each other wanking. *g*
4. Ziasudra "Second Life" Word Count: ~17,750 words; Summary: After sending Lily off to Hogwarts, Harry realised he had a lot of time he could now devote to his Snape obsession. Set post-war, fully canon and epilogue compliant, including canon-compliant Harry/Ginny to the best of my ability—no Ginny bashing here.
Eileen Prince, FTW! Also? Really original premise that I've not read anywhere else. I don't want to spoil it for you, but it's canon compliant and had the most understanding and mature Harry/Ginny relationship I've seen to date. If JK had written Ginny this way I would have bought it. Anyway, lovely story that's definitely worth a read. I seriously enjoyed it.
5. Nenyaentwhistle Some Notes Exchanged Word Count: ~4,800 Summary: Sometimes all you need for something to start are some little notes.
What is the perfect combination do you think? I submit that coffee and Snarry has to be up there. ;) Anyway, that's what we're dealing with here. And there's even a Ginny that I can appreciate. Yummy!
6. Sinick & Ac1d6urn Red Right Hand Word Count: ~49000; Warnings; Summary: In a world where winning the war was only half the battle, will Harry Potter's crazy heroics be enough to save an outcast?
OMG! Umbridge is SUCH a bitch, inventive, but a bitch. Also? Harry is insane. Heh. But I'm not telling you anything that you didn't already know, am I?
How about this? Snape is a Clash fan. *g* Seriously? Just go read. It's worth your time. It's a great fic. Oh and just one other word. Drapery! Heh.
