Money Well Spent

“This is very generous, Harry!” Minerva appeared gobsmacked.
Harry nodded. “And you agree that this fund will be open to all orphaned Slytherin students of need?”
“Certainly.” Minerva hesitated, and Harry waited for the inevitable question. “But why not all Houses, or Gryffindor?”
“After the war I vowed that I would do anything to prevent another Dark Lord rising. If paying for someone’s tuition will accomplish that, then I’ll do it.”
“How perceptive.” She smiled. “Thank you.”
Harry contemplated all the Slytherins that could have been saved by such a program. This was probably the best money he’d ever spend.
