Always Odd

“It’s not right, Malfoy.” Parkinson looked irate.
A bland expression settled over Malfoy’s face. “What do you mean?” he asked.
Parkinson narrowed her eyes. “We’ve all seen you,” she hissed. “Fraternizing with the enemy. Potter,” she spat the name, “is not a pureblood.”
“I am aware of his origins,” Malfoy replied, the curve of his arched brow conveying perfectly his opinion of her. “And actually, he is worth ten of you.”
With a huff she flounced away.
“You okay?”
Scorpius smiled as Al joined him. “I am now,” he said.
“What’s wrong with her?”
Scorpius shrugged. “Slytherins are always odd.”
