The Big Dan Post

So I have been promising this ever since I got back from Dan stalking Equus and here it is!
First of all I have to just say that Dan Radcliffe is absolutely adorable and very polite and lovely. Richard Griffiths is not. However, they are both superb in this play, and I highly recommend the show for anyone who has the opportunity to see it.
Now, on with the post.
I really didn't think I had a chance to get close to Dan. I had this vague idea of dragging
sassy_cissa down to the theater to see him, but I had no real plan. That all changed when
fbowden (Flic) arrived. For one, Flic is gorgeous and she had every man on that street staring when we arrived. This made the police VERY helpful when it came time to try to Dan stalk. They told us exactly where to stand and what to do, and I am convinced it was only because of Flic and her LONG legs and her low cut dress. LOL.
The first night I got close to Dan was after the Friday show. Unfortunately, I didn't have a playbill so I had nothing for him to sign (I would have offered my chest if I had been Flic, but, alas, I am not). I was close enough to hear him banter with the crowd, though. :)
Saturday night was impossible. The crowds were ridiculous and there was no way I was getting anywhere close, so I gave up and went with several people including
dementordelta,
swtalmnd,
dracofiend (and Mr. Dracofiend),
titti,
midnitemarauder,
accioslash (and Mr. Accioslash and BabyAccioslash),
treewishes,
ziasudra and prolly a zillion others who I am not mentioning to go eat cheesecake and drink frou-frou drinks. :)
Sunday turned out to be the day. We got there at the perfect time (in fact, I think we were the first there) and we staked out our spots. Three nights of stalking paid off since we were in the front, and we were able to get pictures and, even better, signatures. *clutches precious playbill to chest*
Anyway, Dan came out to see his adoring fans and was, as always, wonderfully polite.
I took some pics with my phone, but as you'll see I suck at pics, so when
sassy_cissa sends the ones she had my RL friend (who lives in NY and agreed to go Dan stalking with us) take, then we'll see something. :)
Here are the ones I got, though. As you can tell, Dan has a nice tush. ;)

He worked his way around and then got to us. Naturally, my hands were shaking too much. *sigh*

Me: Hello. Great job in the show.
Him: *big smile* Thank you very much!
Me: ....
And that was it, he was off. Of course, had I known he'd propositioned Flic I would have mentioned that I was her friend. It prolly would have got me points. ;)
Then he was off in his SUV and we waited for Richard Griffiths' signature. Mr. Cranky pants was, well, cranky, but hey, Dan was lovely so it was okay.
And now that I know EXACTLY what to do when I go back in January I am SO ready, baby. *g*
And I just realized I need an Equus icon...
Edit: Ask and I shall receive! Thank you,
sassy_cissa *smooches*
