Excellent Taste

Severus eyed Teddy mistrustfully. Teddy simply gurgled back at him and kicked his legs, hair going bright red for a moment before settling into a more sedate blue.
“I have no idea what blue means,” Severus muttered, “but the smell indicates you have decided to excrete more toxic waste.”
Severus changed Teddy’s nappy, fingers grazing soft skin as he did so. Teddy giggled, reaching for Severus, and Severus gave in, gently tickling Teddy’s sides before picking him up.
“He likes you,” Remus said from the doorway.
Severus smirked. “Indeed. Must be a family trait.”
Remus smiled. “Lupins have excellent taste.”
