I am thrilled to share this with all of you.
I've agreed to participate in a brilliant idea, the HP 10k Showcase. It's a very very small showcase of HP friends who want the challenge of writing an under 10k story while we increase awareness of a cause or issue important to us. This was inspired by wonderful fandom response to Live Long n Marry, and we think this has the same potential to inspire.
Yes, I know I have sworn off fests, but this is something I decided I needed to be a part of as soon as I heard about it. A great line up of writers and artists have been recruited for this endeavor, so if this sounds like something of interest, please watch the![[insanejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/ij-userinfo.gif)

We have all picked different causes. I shall be writing for the Bone Marrow Registry.
Posts outlining our individual causes will be going up in the weeks leading up to the fest in March. For all of the causes, information will be presented as well as links on where to go for more information or places to make charitable contributions if you are in a position to do so. In the meantime, please watch the comm and spread the word. I think this is going to be an really exciting, inspirational and different type of fandom activity. We promise some great fic and art, and we'll hopefully provide some personal perspectives on some very important issues near and dear to our hearts. I hope you'll join us.
